Busy working parents are looking for a qualified, nurturing, responsible, proactive, trustworthy and reliable nanny for our two daughters (2.5 and 4 years old) who will be available full-time, five days a week. During the school year, parents need assistance from 8:00am – 6:00pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 1:00pm – 6:00pm on Wednesdays and Fridays. For candidates whose schedules allow, additional hours are also possible during the week and on the weekends. Additional child care services on evenings, weekends, etc. will be optional and negotiated on an as needed basis. The ideal candidate would have flexibility to pick up extra hours during school holidays and over the summer when the girls are out of school.
The potential candidate should be very hands-on and will engage the children in a variety of developmental activities including reading to them, playing with them, engaging them in age-appropriate games and learning activities, organizing and administering arts and crafts projects, arranging some classes for our youngest daughter whose is not in school every day and, weather permitting, seeing that both of the girls have the opportunity to get out of the house at least once per day (for a walk, trip to the park, play date, museum visit, etc.). Additionally, the candidate should be able to pick up / drop up the girls from school and activities.
In addition to taking care of their daughters, nanny will be responsible for all basic care related to both girls (laundry, meal preparation, cleaning up their rooms and play areas, changing sheets and the diaper pail, picking up the toys at the end of each day, administering medicine, as needed, providing a daily log and periodic updates, as needed, throughout the day, etc.). Additional basic household needs (emptying the dishwasher, errands, food preparation, etc.) are not required but candidates who are able to assist with these activities will be considered favorably. Overseeing service providers when requested, if parents are unable to attend an appointment. Above all, nanny should be able provide the parents with support and flexibility to help them balance parenthood and busy careers.
