SCHEDULE
Monday–Friday with flexibility required. Depending on the family's needs, the schedule will generally be:
• 10:00 AM–6:00 PM (most days)
• 12:00 PM–8:00 PM (occasional)

The Hazel Agency is delighted to be assisting a wonderful repeat client in their search for an experienced House Manager in Atlanta who can provide family assistance, household organization, errands, vendor coordination, and afternoon support for three school-age children. The family already employs a weekly housekeeper as well as a nanny. The focus is on household management, organization, errands, family assistance, and afternoon driving and support for three children, ages 12 (7th grade), 10 (4th grade), and 6 (Kindergarten). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being the "go-to" person who keeps all the moving pieces of a busy household organized. Afternoon driving is an important part of the position and begins around 2:30 PM each weekday. Occasional evenings Monday–Thursday may occasionally extend later depending on the children's activities and if both parents are unavailable.

THE ROLE
During the earlier part of the day you will focus on keeping the household organized, handling errands, coordinating vendors and appointments and taking care of the many details that come with running a busy family home for working parents.
Once the children are out of school, the focus shifts to driving, schedules, activities, snacks, and helping nanny keep the afternoon and evening routine running smoothly.

Responsibilities will include:
• Coordinate household service appointments and be present to provide access and oversee contractors as needed
• Research and coordinate household vendors and service providers
• Maintain household supplies and replenish inventory
• Assist with grocery and pantry organization, shopping, deliveries, and putting groceries away
• Run errands including dry cleaning, alterations, shoe repair, Amazon/package returns, etc.
• Perform daily household resets and light tidying of common areas
• Help maintain already-organized spaces such as closets and pantry areas
• Put away clean laundry and assist with or oversee household laundry as needed
• Purchase birthday gifts, flowers, and other items at the family's direction
• Occasionally wrap gifts and assist with invitations, thank-you notes, and mailings
• Help plan and execute children's birthday parties and other family projects
• Check designated mailboxes and handle miscellaneous household administrative tasks
• Assist with other household and family needs as they arise

CHILDREN & AFTER-SCHOOL SUPPORT
• Daily school pickups and transportation to activities
• Help with snacks and afternoon logistics
• Keep track of schedules and belongings
• Reinforce parent-established household rules, including technology limits
• Provide a warm, capable adult presence while maintaining appropriate boundaries with older children

PET CARE
The family has two dogs, a 4-year-old Cockapoo and a 1-year-old English Cocker Spaniel, so candidates must genuinely enjoy dogs and be comfortable assisting with basic pet care.
This may include:
• Transportation to and from dog daycare approximately twice per week
• Transportation to the groomer approximately every six weeks
• Letting the dogs in and out during the day
• Crating them when needed
• Occasional daytime walks

IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone who is organized, resourceful, dependable, naturally sees what needs to be done and works well with additional staff/vendors. The right person will be comfortable shifting between house management responsibilities and interacting with the children and will understand how to support a busy family without needing constant direction.
Candidates must have:
• Previous House Manager, Family Assistant or similar private-home experience
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• A clean background and driving record
• A dependable personal vehicle; the family may be able to provide a vehicle for transporting the children
• Comfort driving children daily
• Comfort working around and caring for dogs
• Strong communication skills
• Flexibility and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work collaboratively with the family's existing housekeeper and nanny
• The ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in a private household
