Location: Private Farm Property – Rome, Georgia
Employment Term: March 2026 – August 2026
Schedule: Full-time, live-in
Animal care required 7 days per week with flexible/rotating personal time as coordinated
Housing: On-site housing provided
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Temporary Property Manager and Farm Caretaker to oversee a private, several-hundred-acre working farm from March through August 2026. This is a seasonal, short-term assignment with on-site housing provided as part of the compensation package.
Daily animal care is required seven days per week. However, flexible and rotating personal time will be scheduled in advance.
This role will temporarily backfill the current Property Manager during maternity leave beginning around May 1, 2026. Therefore, the Seasonal Caretaker will start earlier to allow for training, shadowing, and a smooth transition.
As the primary on-site caretaker during this assignment, you will manage daily farm operations while ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and organization of the property. You will also support ongoing animal care, garden maintenance, and guest readiness throughout the season.
Because this is a temporary position, the ideal candidate is someone who can step in confidently, adapt quickly, and maintain consistency during the coverage period.
During this assignment, you will oversee and collaborate with three on-site staff members:
Farm Hand
Organic Farmer
Farm and Property Assistant
You will report directly to the Family’s Director of Household Operations, who is based in Atlanta. While the outgoing Property Manager will remain available for urgent questions, you will manage daily operations and make routine decisions independently.
