Part-Time Afternoon Nanny

A wonderful repeat Hazel Agency client in Decatur is seeking an experienced Part-Time Afternoon Nanny. This is a long-term opportunity with a warm, appreciative family.
The family has three children, ages 3, 5, and 7. They are looking for a youthful, high-energy nanny who enjoys staying active and creating fun experiences for children. You will not always have all three children in your care. Due to school schedules, much of the afternoon will involve one or two children before everyone is home.
Schedule
• Monday-Friday
• Generally 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• Some evenings until 7:00 p.m. as needed
• 20 guaranteed hours per week
Compensation
• $33-$37 per hour
Responsibilities
• School pick-up for the oldest child in Buckhead (mom pick ups the two younger children on her way home from work)
• Planning fun, engaging, age-appropriate activities, crafts, games, and outdoor play
• Preparing healthy snacks and simple meals for the children
• Assisting with homework and school projects as needed
• Children's laundry and keeping bedrooms and play areas neat and organized
• Packing backpacks and helping prepare for the following school day
• Providing a safe, positive, nurturing environment while encouraging learning and independence
• Communicating with parents regarding the children's day
Ideal Candidate
• Previous professional nanny experience with multiple young children
• Warm, engaging, upbeat and genuinely enjoys being active with children
• High energy with a positive, can-do attitude
• Reliable, organized and dependable
• Excellent driving record with a reliable personal vehicle
• Comfortable transporting up to two children using family-provided booster/car seats
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Looking for a long-term position with one family
• Outstanding, verifiable references
Benefits
• 20 guaranteed hours each week
• Three weeks paid vacation annually
o One week selected by the nanny (family requests approximately one month's notice whenever possible)
o Two weeks selected by the family
• Paid federal holidays, including New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• IRS mileage reimbursement for all work-related driving
• Seven paid sick days
• Annual holiday bonus equal to one week's pay (prorated during the first year based on start date)
