Position Overview:
A family of four (two adults and two children) in the Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta is seeking a skilled and culinary-trained chef to work three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), for 25-28 hours weekly. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, organization, and a passion for fresh, seasonal cooking to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Menu Planning: Develop complete menus in advance for approval by the Principal, ensuring variety and seasonality.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare fresh and seasonal dinners for five days each week, including child-friendly meals, and lunch for one adult for
five days.
• Service: Serve dinner on the days you are present and handle clean-up afterward.
• Event Support: Assist with dinner parties and events as needed.
• Shopping: Shop for groceries and manage pantry and refrigerator inventory.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, refrigerator, and pantry.
• Summer Home Management: During family travel in the summer, take on additional home management tasks, including vendor
management and special projects.
Qualifications:
• Culinary training and professional chef experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to create child-friendly and adult-pleasing meals.
• Flexibility to assist with events and adapt to changing needs.
• Comfortable reporting to House Manager.
• Excellent communication skills.
Compensation:
• $55.00 per hour, with some flexibility based on experience.
