Overview:
A private couple with one small child is seeking an experienced, organized, and proactive House Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of their 9,000 square foot newly built home in West Lake Hills, Austin. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of the household while supporting a full-time staff that includes two rotating nannies, a full-time chef, and a weekly cleaning service. This position offers a highly competitive compensation package with excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
• Household Organization & Operations:
Maintain a well-organized and efficient home environment. Ensure that the house is fully reset daily and ready for the family’s use, overseeing cleanliness and organization.
Oversee full time staff (nannies, chef) and weekly cleaning service.
• Vendor & Service Management:
Coordinate and manage various vendors, ensuring timely service and quality control.
• Vehicle Maintenance:
Oversee the upkeep of three vehicles including regular fueling, car washes, and scheduled maintenance.
• Pet Care:
Assist with the care of a sweet mini-Labradoodle, including feeding, managing vet/grooming visits, daily walks, and overall pet wellness.
• Renovation Project Supervision:
Oversee and supervise renovation and home improvement projects to ensure they are completed to the family’s standards.
• Calendar & Scheduling Management:
Maintain both the family and household calendars, ensuring appointments, events, and tasks are timely and well-coordinated.
• Expense Reporting:
Assist with accurate reporting of household expenses to the Estate Manager for review and budgeting purposes.
• Event Assistance:
Help plan, organize, and manage family parties and events, providing support before, during, and after.
• Travel Support:
Occasionally travel to other properties or prepare the family’s other out of state homes for visits, ensuring everything is in order before their arrival.
• Document Organization & Mail Handling:
Organize & track family documents and sort mail as needed.
• Trip Planning & Coordination:
Assist with family trip planning, including booking accommodations, managing itineraries, and providing logistical support.
• Staff Sourcing & Assistance:
Work with the Estate Manager to source and hire additional household staff when needed, as well as oversee staff coordination.
• Laundry & Guest Preparation:
Assist with occasional laundry, especially before guest visits, ensuring linens and towels are prepared and organized.

Qualifications:
• Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a House Manager or in a similar role for private families, ideally with a demonstrated track record of managing large households.
• Technical Skills:
Tech-savvy, comfortable using G-Suite, Asana, and other household management systems. Must be able to communicate via text messaging and manage tasks digitally.
• Discretion & Professionalism:
Must be highly discreet, professional, and possess the ability to read the room and adapt to different family dynamics.
• Flexibility:
Ability to adjust work hours on occasion (early mornings, late evenings, weekends, or occasional travel).
• Proactive & Self-Managing:
Strong self-management skills, ability to anticipate needs and be proactive without constant direction.

Schedule & Benefits:
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
• Compensation: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
