Position: Private Chef

Schedule: Full-time, 4 days per week (9 AM - 9 PM), including 2 weekends per month and occasional holidays; 2 consecutive days off each week.

We are seeking an exceptional and versatile Private Chef to provide high-quality, health-conscious meal preparation for a family of six. You will be part of a two-chef team, working to cover the scheduled days. The ideal candidate will be skilled in crafting a wide variety of meals, from sophisticated plant-based and vegan dishes to fish, chicken, dairy, and occasional red meat options, along with child-friendly dishes. A passion for nutrition, creativity, and attention to detail is essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare two meals per day with snacks for the family, utilizing only the freshest ingredients.
• Specialize in plant-based and vegan cuisine, while also preparing a diverse range of dishes including fish, chicken, dairy, and occasional red meat.
• Manage all aspects of grocery shopping and inventory, ensuring the kitchen is fully stocked with necessary ingredients and well-organized.
• Collaborate with the family weekly to plan and refine the menu.
• Stay up-to-date with any changes in the family’s dietary preferences or restrictions, adjusting menus accordingly.
• Collaborate with the family’s nutritionist and trainer to create meals aligned with health and fitness goals.
• Prepare meals in advance for the family to enjoy during your days off.
• Source unique ingredients locally and internationally, including specialty meats, vegetables, and seafood.
• Plan and execute meals for special occasions or events and occasionally cook for household staff.
• Maintain detailed logs of the family’s food preferences and dislikes, ensuring all meals are tailored to their tastes.
• Keep the kitchen sanitized, organized, and thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis.
• Purge expired or unusable food items from the inventory.
• Follow proper food safety and hygiene protocols, including wearing gloves during food prep.
• Cook a variety of cuisines to meet the family’s diverse preferences.
• Oversee all food and beverage purchasing, including protein powders, supplements, and specialty ingredients.
• Manage the wine collection, providing wine pairings as requested.
• Create a welcoming and comfortable dining atmosphere for the family and guests.
• Occasional travel with the family to various residences, ensuring meal quality and consistency across locations.
• Demonstrate flexibility in meal planning and preparation, ready to adjust on short notice.
• Must be able to uphold confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a private chef or in a similar culinary role.
• Expertise in vegan and whole food plant-based cooking, with the ability to prepare a variety of other cuisines.
• Flexibility to work weekends, some holidays, and travel with the family when needed.
• Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create a warm, inviting atmosphere for both the family and guests.
• Ability to plan and prepare sophisticated meals tailored to a variety of dietary preferences.
• Excellent organizational skills, including managing inventory and grocery shopping.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining a professional attitude.
• Discretion and confidentiality are essential.

Additional Information:
• Willingness to engage in cooking activities with children on occasion.
• Ability to travel to different residences as required.
• Must be based in or near Atlanta, GA. Candidates from surrounding states with a connection to Atlanta will also be considered.
• Comfortable working alongside other household staff.
• Outstanding references and long-term employment history are required.

Salary and Benefits:
• $120,000 to $140,000 annually
• Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) benefits

Compensation: $120,000-$140,000 annually plus full benefits
