A private couple is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Live In Housekeeper/Cook to assist with the maintenance of their private lakefront estate. Principals are in residence May-August each year and requires the Housekeeper to work 6 days per week when they are in residence, working 11:30am-9:30pm. September through May, you will work a 40 hour week, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
• Full-charge housekeeping responsibilities; museum-quality cleaning and organizing
• Laundry and ironing of clothing and linens, caring for fine garments
• Organizing closets and wardrobe management
• Prepare weekly menu for approval
• Lunch and Dinner preparation for principals while they are in residence. Formal table service required.
• Run household errands and grocery shopping
• Providing excellent service to principals
• Help manage household vendors
Live In Accommodations: Garage apartment overlooking Lake Champlain.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years related work experience
• Private home experience required
• Utmost sense of confidentiality and discretion
• Excellent references from current and previous employers
• Ability to work independently, is a self-starter, proactive and organized
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
• Professional, polished and poised at all times
• Hands-on with good attitude, strong work ethic and an attention to detail
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
• Has excellent cooking skills (a culinary degree is not required)
