Our client is seeking an experienced Property Manager/Handyman/Pet Manager beginning September 2nd. House size is approximately 8400 sq. ft. on one and a half acres. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:00pm. Experienced candidates will be required to work certain holidays when family is out of town (listed noted below).
Property Management/Handyman Duties:
• Maintain the exterior of the home, including power washing patios and cleaning patio furniture as needed.
• Blow leaves between weekly gardener visits, water pots, and monitor landscaping maintenance.
• Coordinate with and provide guidance to landscape crews.
• Wash and detail two cars twice a month.
• Perform various handyman tasks as needed.
• Manage vendors and provide onsite guidance as needed, including:
o Gardeners, irrigation, and lawn specialists
o Pool service
o Mosquito spray and pest control
o Roof and gutter cleaning
o Window washing
Dog Management Duties:
• Walk/run a golden retriever for 45 minutes twice a day.
• Brush the dog daily and bathe twice a month.
• Provide care for the dog and property during travel periods:
o Labor Day weekend (4 days in September)
o Columbus Day weekend (4 days in October)
o Thanksgiving week (7 days in November)
o New Year's week (7 days in December)
o MLK weekend (4 days in January)
o Presidents' Day weekend (4 days in February)
o Spring break (9 days in March)
o Easter weekend (3 days in April)
o Memorial Day weekend (4 days in May)
o Summer period (June 10 - August 10) - flexible, no dog management required during this time
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar role with verifiable references
• English proficiency
• Male, US citizen with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred
• Discreet, kind, and dog-loving, physically fit to take dog on long walks and/or jogs
• Problem solver, self-starter, with a good work ethic
• Handyman skills and knowledge of lawn, tree, and plant care a plus
Additional Information:
• Paid for 40 hours per week
• The candidate can either live on-site or take the dog home during evenings and weekends while the family is traveling.
• No guests are allowed on the property during the family’s absence.
