A busy family is seeking a proactive HousekeeperNanny to support the smooth day-to-day operations of their 7,500 sq. ft. home and assist with their three school-aged children (15, 11, and 9).
This role is ideal for someone who truly enjoys maintaining a beautiful home while also being a steady, responsible presence for older children. The right person is detail-oriented, calm, efficient, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts in a busy household. Family employs a weekly cleaning service.
Position Overview:
This is a hands-on role that blends housekeeping responsibilities and child supervision. The family values discretion, reliability, and someone who takes pride in keeping a home organized and running effortlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
Housekeeping Duties
Kitchen
• Load/unload dishwasher; run as needed
• Hand-wash delicate items
• Wipe counters, appliances, table, backsplash
• Sweep kitchen floor daily
• Spot mop kitchen / breakfast area if needed
• Empty trash & recycling if over half full
• Check fridge for expired food / wipe spills
Bathrooms (all main-use bathrooms + kids’)
• Wipe sinks + counters
• Clean mirrors if spotted
• Quick wipe toilet exterior + seat
• Replace hand towels if damp/dirty
• Restock toilet paper / soap
Bedrooms
• Make all beds (unless instructed otherwise)
• Tidy surfaces and floors
• Open blinds / adjust lighting if part of routine
Living spaces
• Reset pillows/throws
• Pick up clutter / toys / papers
• Wipe obvious fingerprints or spills
Laundry (daily rotation)
• Wash, dry, steam, fold household laundry
• Put away folded items
• Change loads continuously during work block
• Maintain household inventory and assist with supply ordering
Child Support
• Transport children - school pick ups and take to activities (minivan provided)
• Supervision of children as needed
• Occasional overnights as needed when parents travel
Schedule:
40 hours guaranteed weekly
Monday: 12pm–8pm
Tuesday: 11am–7pm
Wednesday: 11am–7pm
Thursday: 2pm–10pm (weekday date night — day may shift occasionally)
Friday: 11am–7pm
Schedule may adjust to 10:00am-6:00pm during summer and family travel, with the intention of maintaining 40 hours per week.
Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a private home
Housekeeping & laundry experience
Experience working with school-aged children
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Comfortable with occasional overnight & weekend care when parents travel
Organized, proactive, and able to anticipate needs
Professional, discreet, and dependable
