An on-the-go family is in search of a kind, upbeat, engaging, Live In Nanny to help care for 4 children (ages: 13, 11, 6 & 2). Start date begins at the end of May. This is a split shift position (6am-9:00am or 10:00am/2:30pm-7:30pm or 8:00pm) with the daily routine beginning at 6:00am to help mom get the 3 older children ready for school. You would either do carpool or stay with the youngest while mom drops the children off to school. After that, you will have some free time as long as some of the household duties are complete like light housekeeping (cleaning up the kitchen, children’s rooms and assisting with laundry for the children. Family has a weekly cleaning service that does the deep cleaning including cleaning the apartment that is provided for you.
In the afternoons, you will be responsible for picking the children up from school and taking them to their afterschool activities. This position is 6 days per week. The summer months are more laid back and do not require as many hours. . Days off will vary due to the children’s schedule. Most weekends are spent transporting children to their games/recitals, etc. Family is looking for someone who loves working with children of all ages and who wants to be part of the family. Someone who is highly engaging with their children, (be silly, play with them, help with milestones, etc.), proactive and is comfortable working as part of the parenting team with mom. Dad has a demanding job that requires a lot of travel.
Characteristics they hope to have in their new nanny include a nurturing spirit, a warm personality, and a good multi-tasker who has experience with this age group. Other qualities needed include good communication, awareness of safety for the children, and mutual respect for their family. Must be an excellent driver with a clean driving history along with having a reliable vehicle. This is an excellent position for a part-time or online college student. Family is providing a beautiful garage apartment to live in that has a bedroom, bathroom, living room and large kitchen. Meals are also provided by the family.
